So there I was earlier today. Standing outside my supplier’s pad. As I walked towards the front door I scratched obsessively at an itch that would not go away. And I was pretty sure somebody was watching me. Maybe from a nearby parked van, or better yet, from behind some cheap mini-blinds who’s left & right sides never quite went up and down in synch. Ok, so I’m late getting on the mobile app train. I’ve been blissfully going about my business doing things the hard (i.e. cheap) way. In the meanwhile you guys have been scurrying by me multitasking all the while like squirrels preparing for the winter. Hmm. Maybe not the best analogy I’ve ever come up with but you get the point. I was an outsider looking in. Or is that insider looking out? Regardless, I’m finally on the damn train now and I must say the ride is nice!

I got my first iPhone a couple of days ago.  I know what you’re thinking.  It was probably an impulse buy after some salesperson had me drooling over the latest gadget.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  I’d had my old phone for about four years, but alas, we had to depart ways after it stopped sending sound through the speaker.  It’s the little things.  So, I finally had to end my free agent status, and sign a contract with a major carrier in order to get a phone on the cheap.

Interactive mockups are a quick, easy way to show potential clients a prototype of their new site.  As a web designer I enjoy the flexibility of being able to create a quick rendering for a client.  This in turn gives them something tangible to visualize and will usually get their “creative juices” flowing.

I have a lonely, dust covered phonebook somewhere on my desk.  It died of neglect some time ago.  I’ll call him Hubert.  Good ‘ole Hubert will get replaced in a year’s time by a new phonebook.  It too will die a slow and painful death.  Sorry to have disappointed any of you, but that’s the way it goes for phonebooks in my home and office.
