Wednesday, March 17th, 2010

Once you’ve initially setup your Zen Cart installation you need to start thinking about the products you plan to sell on your website. Thoughts on Collaboration

Friday, March 12th, 2010

People CollaboratingToday’s fast paced society delivers people the freedom and resources to consume massive amounts of information. The sheer number of people who are “plugged in” is mind boggling. Personally, I find the idea of a collective conscious most intriguing. But, just as important as online social networking is, it’s best to know, work, and network with “real” people in your industry.

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Glass Icon: Tape Reel 1I’ve been approached by several clients recently who were in need of video capabilities on their respective websites. This is a great idea in terms of sales and marketing! Of course, not everyone is going to need video on their website, but if you do here are two options.

Software Review: Seesmic Desktop

Wednesday, March 10th, 2010

Seesmic, the best Twitter client for Desktop, Web and Mobile, ... “Some of the most serious networkers use Seesmic Desktop to collect Tweets and organize ...In the world of web design I use a variety of software applications to get things done. One of my new favorites is a product called Seesmic Desktop. If you manage multiple Twitter accounts you will love this app. I’ve been almost exclusively using this brilliant interface for the last 90 days to manage my Facebook (stevewaugh76, CrazyWebFoo Facebook Fan Page, Fly R/C Online Fan Page) and Twitter (@crazywebfoo, @flyrconline, and @stevewaugh76) accounts.

Mobile Productivity: Vlingo

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Vlingo

By now most of you should be able to gather that I like my tools. Offline, I enjoy collecting pocket knives. Each one of these knives serves a unique purpose in my collection. My favorite electronic tool; my iPhone. Just like my knife collection, I have a staggering library of apps that I use and test daily, and one of the gems is Vlingo.

The Role of Social Media

Fly R/C Online - a media sharing community for R/C pilots

Fly R/C Online - a media sharing community for R/C pilots

Social media sites are Web 2.0. You probably already spend a portion of your day immersed in these communities. Companies like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn lead the industry.  But, what is the role of social media?  The answer is simple.  That role is defined by the masses who use the site.  Members unconsciously decide what remains and what gos as they gravitate to applications designed to entertain or educate.  Sometimes both (Fly R/C Online – a media sharing community for R/C pilots – a CrazyWebFoo Design website).
