Getting My Fix
So there I was earlier today. Standing outside my supplier’s pad. As I walked towards the front door I scratched obsessively at an itch that would not go away. And I was pretty sure somebody was watching me. Maybe from a nearby parked van, or better yet, from behind some cheap mini-blinds who’s left & right sides never quite went up and down in synch. Yes, this much I was sure of. I had a feeling.

Recently had the fun of standing in line at Fry’s Electronics in San Jose with my 13 year old son. We were laughing till we cried at the strange and wonderful variety of “As Seen On TV”, chocolate, acne cream, calculators, snack products, and other assorted weird stuff. They funneled all customers into one long line and it felt like a cattle chute and we were going to the slaughter! When we got to the head of the line we were processed to one of a hundred cashiers. Why we couldn’t have selected a line to stand in instead of being forced to “walk the line” is… well… marketing genius! Gone are the days when Fry’s was ONLY electronics!

Best Buy is my last minute resort to my tech needs. I mostly use TigerDirect.com and sometimes NewEgg.com. Back when I was in IT our department used CDW quite a bit.
